Stress Fractures

Stress fractures of the foot are very common in our practice. With 26 bones in the foot which support our weight, certain activities, even simply walking in the mall for an hour or two wearing the wrong shoes can cause a stress fracture, or “break,” in one or more of these bones. Pain, swelling, redness, and even bruising are signs of a possible fracture. Fractures of the foot can be diagnosed by x-rays or other studies. Our Podiatrists have over 30 years experience treating patients with stress fractures of the foot and ankle.
