Diabetic Neuropathy
Patients with diabetes are prone to developing a condition called Diabetic neuropathy. In neuropathy, the sensory nerve function deteriorates in the body's extremities, causing a gradual loss of feeling in the hands, arms, legs, and feet. Patients may experience numbness, loss of feeling, "pins and needles" sensations or burning pain in the feet. Occasionally, these burning pains will be present at bedtime and interfere with a person's ability to sleep. There are several medications available for the treatment of neuropathy. Our doctors have over 30 years experience treating patients with diabetic peripheral neuropathy. Please call our office today at 440-934-8444 to make an appointment or fill-out our Contact Form.
